Recipe: Macaroni Beef Skillet

Okay, if you are like me and you want a meal that will go far, you need to try this recipe.  Around our house, we call it homemade hamburger helper.  I've made this many times, and the more I make it, the more I change it.  You can print out the recipe at Kraft Foods. It's a keeper in our household! This time around, I used ground beef, jalapenos and tomatoes, Kroger brand block of cheese, and $1 package of shell noodles. Yummy!

Recipe: Homemade Biscuits

After spending $1 on a biscuit and sausage everyday before I went to work, I said to myself there's gotta' be another way around this!  I know $1 isn't much, but when you get into a habit of purchasing one everyday, that ends up costing $5 a week just on something to eat for breakfast! So this lead me into the search to make my own biscuits and sausage.  Of course, if I bought the store brand biscuits it would defeat the purpose so, I ventured out and started looking for a homemade recipe for biscuits.  There are tons out there, but I wanted to keep it simple and wanted something a little less time consuming.  Load and behold, I found the easiest recipe ever; coming in with only 4 ingredients; yes 4!  Hola!!  You can find the recipe here at Grit by The Texas Pioneer Woman. I was skeptic at first, because anytime I try and make anything with just flour and no yeast, it ends up just like a big ole' hard rock that you can't eat.  However, I had success with this recipe! Did I mention it actually taste like biscuits!  Woot Woot!! Go Momma G....Sorry I got a little excited there.  But I give this recipe a thumbs up! You should definitely try it.  Now if only I could get off this Colombian Coffee kick!.......

DIY: Scrapbook Paper Easter Wreath

DIY Scrapbook paper and Cardboard Easter Wreath by Miss Momma G

Just in time for Easter!  Well, more of a last minute idea I suppose!  Any who,  I couldn't stand my door being bare for Easter so I got crafty and made my own Easter Wreath!  All you need is a few materials and an imagination.

Supplies
scrapbook paper
cardboard
stapler
scissors or paper cutter
yarn / string to hang from the door
embellishments (optional)
toilet paper rolls
wiggly eyes
cotton balls
marker

For the Wreath
I cut my paper in approximately 1-2 inches then folded them and stapled them in place.  I went around one row at a time and stapled the paper.  Then went to the next row, etc.  I filled in empty spaces with smaller or larger pieces of paper to make it full.  I then added embellishments.

Toilet Paper Rabbits
I covered the roll with scrapbook paper and stapled it in place. Added eyes, and feet and ears (made out of scrapbook paper).
